Description:	Clarence Frederick ABBOTT, nine years old, measuring himself against the big tree in front of the Abbott farm. The wooden building is probably the log cabin in which Edward Adolph ABBOTT and the other children of Christopher/Christian ABICHT/ABBOTT and Magdalena Caroline SCHMELTZ ABICHT/ABBOTT were born. The structure behind the tree is the spring house. This spring is now beneath the Embassy Apartment building on Beverly Road, Mt. Lebanon, Pittsburgh, PA. The other siblings of Edward born in cabin were: Caroline ABBOTT SCHMELZ August ABBOTT Amelia ABBOTT WISE Katherine "Kate" ABBOTT GOEDDEL Charles "Charley" ABBOTT Elizabeth ABBOTT KUHLMAN Anna ABBOTT DOERR Albert ABBOTT The two youngest were born after farmhouse was built.
